Our city continues to experience persistent violence and crippling needs. As followers of Jesus, we acknowledge the urgency to prayerfully engage our region together with the love of Christ and the hope of the gospel, knowing that, “A historically divided city cannot be changed by a historically divided Church.”
On Saturday, August 19th, many churches and prayer networks will gather together for “Chicagoland United in Prayer” at Douglas Park in the Lawndale community on Chicago’s West side. Prayer walks will step off at 10am from three locations, entering the park at 11am for a two-hour prayer and praise rally, followed by services and giveaways to the community at 1pm.
We invite you to join us at this gathering in the spirit of John 17:
“I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
