Each Winter, we begin the year by gathering as One Church in Chicago, with One Cry, for our city to be impacted by One Gospel - the good news of Jesus Christ.
During the Spring and Summer, we rally the Body of Christ to be engaged locally in communities, outside the walls of the church, addressing the places of greatest need.
This summer we have seen God answering prayer in big ways as we come together as a Body of believers to cry out in unison. On May 27th we launched the Chicago Peace Campaign in the Roseland Community...
Each Fall, we invite pastors/leaders to devote time to ‘unhurried prayer’, asking God to refresh us, unite us, and guide us as one Church laboring together for all of Chicago.
Monday, November 7th was a beautiful day with pastors and leaders spent praying and listening today - seeking God's heart and the 'oneness' of His Church in Chicagoland.
In each of these core values, we hope to develop collective practices as 'the Church' in Chicago. We invite you to prioritize and adopt these seasonal rhythms, so that we can grow in oneness and partnership across the city.

God is stirring His people to pray and work together
God is stirring His people to pray and work together
God is stirring the hearts of His people in Chicago to pray together, and to ‘wear our prayers’ together. What began with the Chicago Neighborhood Prayer Guide has become a movement for oneness and collaboration. In January 2014, we started with united prayer gatherings, crying out to God against the violence in many parts of Chicago. Since then, the Church has rallied to prayer across the city - North, West, South sides, city-center - and in many suburbs. In 2016, we responded to the sense of ‘what’s next?’ by rallying the Church to put their prayers into action in their communities. We’ve come alongside existing ‘salt and light’ streets-based initiatives including many other regional faith-in-action events with the city of Chicago. We also partnered with One Way Ministries on the creation and launch of Chicago77 - one minute prayer videos for each neighborhood in the city. We are excited about what God is doing in growing unity and collaboration. Yet, violence continues to plague many communities and there is much more work to be done, together, in prayer and action, in our city.
